We need monthly prayer partner to pray for youth workers across the city

A healing for the land and people.

At a prayer gathering for North Minneapolis July 28^th we talked about a “Hands Across The City” community outreach event on the recently closed Lincoln School Field and Playground - Aug 23^rd . After the prayer and conversation I felt impressed by the Lord to do a week of Prayer and Fasting before the event. But that’s not all I also felt that the week of prayer and fasting needed to be on or by the grounds where we will be doing the outreach and the fasting was to include to TALKING. Now for me that your be hard.

So I will be setting up a large tent on Lincoln Playground where the outreach will take place.

We will set up the tent August 16^th  or 17^th in the afternoon -

The other day on one of the corners of my block there were 8 shots fired.

     In the middle of the afternoon

        By a Kid on a bike

The question I ask –

•    Who is leading, disciplining or mentoring this young man.

•       How long will he live if he continues this life style.

•       How can we as Christians have an influence on him and other youth like him.

•    Are we willing to pay the price in money, time, and our talent to do what it will take to make a difference. 

Dear Friends - Would you please consider getting the message out concerning the following for prayer and tangible help: There is a urgent need to come along side the youth of North Minneapolis. There is a great need to demonstrate our concern for the youth by coming along side them not just for this event but for the school year. as mentors or as mentors to youth workers. 

To Whom it may Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Youth Resources and three other ministries. 

• What was it?  - Hands Across the City is a community festival event involving  a number of Churches and Organizations with one or two lead churches for an event. This year we will do 5 events like this. Our goal is to reach out to the community and bring life. Believers In Christ is the lead church for the event on the 23^rd. 
• We also provide a physical blessing for the land. We will do this by setting up a tent on August 17^th and for the next week we weeded, swept, rake, clean, and Pray for the land. On the 23^rd we had bands, games, and free food. From the stage on an hourly schedule we drew for door prizes and gave every child that wants one a back to school backpack. 

• Gen 1:31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. Gen 2:15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden to work it and take care of it.

  This area has been the scene of gang fights, vandalism and shootings. We want to reclaim the land. We are asking for the permission of the Minneapolis school board to do this.
